9 WIPs

Well I'm just having too much fun! Tried some shellac burns tonight. Oh how cool! You dab the shellac onto the board that has some encaustic medium alone or medium and paint, then set it on fire! The results are not real predictable and really fantastic. Here's a shot of the 9 boards I'm working on now....some with shellac burns and some without. And the other pic is of my griddle with my tins full of encaustic medium and paint.

Deb,
You are achieving some gorgeous effects and you seem to be having a lot of fun. Setting the shellac on fire seems a bit too dangerous/adventurous for me:-)

They look so good all together Deb. I really like the blue you have achieved

Thanks Christiane. I really like how the colors mingle as I fuse. The shellac burns are such fun. The small ones inside are fine...with fire extinguisher close by. The larger one I'm going to do today will be outside.

Thanks Nora. The blue is ultramarine. It's gorgeous. Got another one I'm working on with a different blue, also gorgeous!
