Another bunch of little mixed media pieces....

Here's some more. Making progress on finishing them up. Still have a few more to go! I'm learning a lot by doing these little guys.

These are all on 5x7 or 6x6 clayboard. I've used acrylic ink, fluid acrylics, tissue paper, cheese cloth, mica flakes, garnet gel and polymer gloss medium.

Really enjoy all of these, but most especially the one which appears as trees.
May I ask,,,,what is Garnet gel?
Very curious, since garnet is my birthstone.

Thanks so much Babs! I like the tree ones too. They're done with the tissue paper. Got a couple more small ones and a larger one in the works.

The garnet gel is from Golden. Here's a link...scroll down. http://www.goldenpaints.com/products/medsadds/gels/gels.php

Unfortunately, it's being discontinued due to supplier problems, but they will custom make it for a price. Might stock up. :) In the piece here, I used a little course, which is harder to see. The extra course is what stands out.

These are really wonderful. They are so organic and totally remind me of nature!

Thanks Whalehead King...some name. :) I agree that numbers 1 & 4 aren't really abstract. I'll change the title! Glad you like them.

Thanks Jessie! Having fun doing them. Worked on 3 more...larger ones...last night. Up early checking how they dried. Now I can go back to sleep and dream about how I'll finish them! :)
