Finally getting creative again....

My life has felt kind of nuts lately with colds and work. I'm on vacation this week and have finally gotten to a place where I feel like picking up my brushes and other tools and start painting again.

I've been reading books on acrylic mediums and have started to experiment. This is just a playtime ditty. The underpainting is acrylic inks on clayboard with squirts of alcohol. Then I did some stenciling, sponging, and imprinting just to see how they all would look. I used Golden soft gel, Daniel Smith iridescent watercolors, and Golden iridescent fluid acrylics. It was fun and there will be much more to come.....maybe even on this piece!

I love Jane Austen, so when I saw this quiz, I couldn't resist. Sometimes I think I fit more than one answer so I tried it using the different ones. Both times I came up as Elinor Dashwood of Sense and Sensibility....a favorite! Think I'll watch it this afternoon!
